The Christian Surname is a very common one. Our line originates in Switzerland with Joseph Christian born Abt. 1824. The lives of these Christian ancestors and descendants continue with some interesting twists and turns. The majority takes place in southwestern Illinois, particularly the Polk Township, Carlinville, Illinois.

The only information known on our Christian roots is found throughout this website. Joseph Christian was murdered in 1871 and his wife later remarried a Jakob Gugger. So besides the Christian family information, Gugger family information is also if interest.
