This Fuchs family line derives from Germany. Mathias Fuchs, son of Frank Fuchs, immigrated to the US.  We're still learning about our Fuchs roots. I am not sure the city or town or origin, however; Definition: From the Middle High German "vuhs" meaning fox. Sometimes used to describe someone with red hair, or someone considered crafty or clever - characteristics attributed to the fox. FOX is the English version of this surname. Surname Origin: German Alternate Surname Spellings: FUHS, FUX, FOX
