GOREVILLE, Ill. -- Marietta Yakstis, 62, of
Goreville died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Sea Grove Beach, Fla. She was born Jan.
12, 1941, in Elco, Ill., daughter of Elmer and Ethel Engieman Butler. Survivors
include a daughter, Rebecca Carroll of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Donald Yakstis of
Carbondale, Ill.; her mother of Jonesboro, Ill.; two brothers, Wayne Butler of
Dongola, Ill., Ed Butler of Centralia, Ill.; a sister, Elsie Butler of
Metropolis, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Friends may
call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 10 a.m. Friday. The
funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Sadler
officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

YAKSTIS,
CASIMIRA 'CATHERINE' (nee Dagis), or Katie was born at home on June 12,
1912, in East St. Louis, IL; her mother, Emilija 'Amelia' Slapelyte Dagis
and father, John Dagis emigrated from ScMonu, Lithuania in 1910; John and
Emilija had seven children, Joseph, Casimira, Julia, Bernice, Stanislava,
Mildred Ann and Pauline Isabelle; Pauline is the final surviving member
of the family.
Catherine would marry William Yakstis (1904-1969) in 1937 and they would
have three children, Michael, Mary and William and five grandchildren and
one great-grandchild; Catherine's three adult children were at her side
when her spirit returned to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2005
at KASSLY Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL. Funeral service will be held at
10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Kassly Mortuary Chapel,
Fairview Heights, IL, with Father Clyde Grogan officiating. Interment
will be in Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

VESPA, DEWEY D., Friday, July 15, 2005; loving husband of the
late Grace B. Vespa; beloved father of the late Dewey Roger Vespa, DDS and
Joyce B. Vespa; grandfather of Daniel Vespa, Dana (Chris) Buchanan, Deanna R.
Vespa, David R. Vespa and Becky R. Vespa; great-grandfather, brother-in-law and
friend to many.
Mr. Vespa was the oldest living graduate of the University of Illinois Business
and Law Schools (1928). As a young attorney he joined the law firm in
Springfield, IL that had been Abraham Lincoln's firm. He opened the St. Louis
Federal Land Bank in 1936 from which he retired at the age of 70.
